Revamp for Stonefield Park play area on the way

Stonefield Park play area (620x349)

The play area at Stonefield Park will be getting a revamp.

Some new play equipment will be installed – a basket swing, four-way cockerel springer and a turtle springer – and the existing roundabout and multi-play unit will be repainted. The existing swings will also be refurbished, providing one flat seat and one cradle seat, and the play area will also be resurfaced, with new safety surfacing around the equipment. Work will be carried out by Wicksteed on behalf of the borough council.

To allow the work to take place, the play area will be closed from 22nd June to 13th July, weather permitting, with everything finished in time for the school summer holiday.
