Stone canal locks to close for repairs

Canal locks in Stone will be closed for repairs in January and February.

Locks 31 to 34 at Meaford have been closed from 6th January and will reopen on 31st January. New oak gates will be fitted and other repairs carried out. There is more information HERE

In February, repairs to Bridge 96 at Whitebridge will see the canal there closed to boats from 3rd February to 8th March. Click HERE for more details of that closure.

The repairs are part of a programme of winter works in Staffordshire by the Canal and River Trust.
