Stone Choral invites singers to join John Rutter’s Requiem performance this Saturday

Stone Choral is inviting local singers to join them for an afternoon of music on Saturday 26 September, before performing John Rutter’s Requiem at a free evening concert.

The Come and Sing event will take place at St Dominic’s Priory Hall on Station Road, with singers of all abilities welcome to take part.

The afternoon will be led by musical director Harriet Johnson, accompanied by pianist Jennifer Hames, as participants rehearse the work ahead of the evening performance.

Registration begins at 1.30pm, with rehearsals from 2pm to 5.30pm, including a tea break. The concert will begin at 6pm and finish at approximately 7pm.

The £20 participation fee includes music hire, refreshments and cakes. Singers aged under 25 can take part free of charge.

Participants are asked to bring their own mug.

Places can be booked by emailing info@stonechoral.org.uk or through TryBooking .

Free evening concert

Anyone who would prefer to listen rather than sing is welcome to attend the evening performance, featuring Stone Choral, guest singers and young soloists.

The concert begins at 6pm at St Dominic’s Priory Hall, Station Road, Stone, ST15 8ER.

Admission is free, and there is no need to book.
