This Saturday, Stone residents and visitors can make the most of the festive Stone Farmers’ Market and support the local retailers and hospitality businesses with free parking courtesy of Stafford Borough Council.
The market will feature a wide selection of high-quality artisan foods and crafts, including home-produced meats, bread, and street food.
In a move to encourage more people to visit the town and support local businesses during the run-up to Christmas, Stafford Borough Council has provided free all-day parking on the three Saturdays leading up to Christmas, including 21st December.
Free Stone Car Park Locations:
- Crown Street Car Park (by the canal)
- Christchurch Way Car Park
- Stone Leisure Centre Car Park
- Stone Canalside Car Park (past Stone Leisure Centre and the Guides and Scout buildings)
- Stone Riverside Car Park (by the Stafford and Stone Canoe Club)
This initiative aims to boost local trade by attracting more visitors to the town centres during the crucial festive period.
Councillor Rob Kenney, Deputy Leader with responsibility for the town centres, stated:
“We all have to support our local businesses, and I hope people take advantage of the free parking offer in Stafford and Stone.”
Mary Walker, Chair of Stafford Town Centre Partnership, added:
“This would be a brilliant early Christmas present for our businesses and a great example of how our new STCP and borough council are working together for the benefit of our local economy.”
Visitors are encouraged to take advantage of the free parking, explore the festive market, and support local traders.
Don’t miss this opportunity to enjoy the Christmas spirit in Stone, support local businesses, and find unique gifts and treats at the market.
See you there!
