Stone Heritage Centre has announced three more talks for the months ahead, with this latest run turning the spotlight on stories much closer to home.

Across the spring and summer, visitors will be able to hear more about Yarnfield and Cold Meece, the old GPO training school in Stone, and the nuns of Oulton Abbey, all subjects with clear local links and plenty of interest for people who know the area.
The first talk is on Saturday 14 March, when the topic will be the history of Yarnfield and Cold Meece parish during the reign of Queen Elizabeth II.
That is followed on Saturday 18 April, A New Home in Stone, Central Training School for the GPO.
Then, on Saturday 27 June, the focus switches to Oulton Abbey and the history of its nuns.
All three talks are due to take place at Stone Heritage Centre on Newcastle Street, with afternoon starts and free entry.
For anyone who enjoys local history, or just fancies spending a Saturday afternoon hearing more about the places around Stone, it looks like a strong line up.
