The festive spirit is alive and well at Stone’s Specsavers as they step in to help provide Father Christmas with a pair of specs so that he’s safe to drive his sleigh on Christmas Eve.
The team at Specsavers on the High Street was only too happy to help when it became clear that Santa needed some new specs – after all, it’s very important he’s able to guide his reindeer through the sky so that children wake up to their presents on Christmas Day.
Keen to spread even more local festive cheer, the store is also appealing for children’s gift donations in support of Stone Rotary Club. Between Monday 12 and Friday 17 December, customers are being encouraged to drop off gifts at the store that will then be handed out to local families in need.
‘When we knew we were going to be helping Santa out, we thought why not continue with the Christmas spirit by collecting gifts,’ says Koyas Ali, store director at Specsavers Stone. ‘We know times are tough, but for some they are even tougher, so if you are able to, we’d really appreciate your support.’
‘Specsavers in Stone has been so generous by helping me to collect toys for some very special children. I’m very grateful to them as they even helped me to get some new glasses so that I can make sure that Rudolph is taking me where I need to be!’, Father Christmas adds.
All gifts will need to be wrapped and marked male, female or unisex and with the age the gift is suitable for before being dropped off at the store.
