A Stone resident is launching a new ADHD and neurodiversity coaching business, offering a limited number of free sessions to local people ahead of qualifying as a coach in January.

Steve Lewis is the founder of My Kinda Mind, a coaching service supporting children, teenagers and adults. Although ADHD and neurodiversity are key areas of focus, Steve is keen to emphasise that no diagnosis is needed to benefit from coaching.
The service is also aimed at anyone struggling with confidence, procrastination, motivation, organisation, heightened emotions or simply feeling overwhelmed by everyday life.
Steve has more than 25 years of experience supporting young people and adults through sport and volunteering, alongside a career working at executive level in business.
He said:
“Over the years, I’ve worked with people of all ages and backgrounds, and one thing I’ve learnt is that we all think, feel and approach things differently.
“At My Kinda Mind, we don’t believe there’s a mould everyone needs to fit into, or a set way things should be done. It’s about understanding the individual and finding what works for them.
“Sometimes people just need the opportunity to talk, to unpack their thoughts and feelings, make sense of them and repack them in a way that helps them move forward.”
My Kinda Mind offers a practical, personalised approach to coaching, helping people recognise their strengths, explore challenges and develop solutions that suit their individual needs.
Steve explained:
“That might be helping a young person build confidence, supporting someone who struggles with everyday tasks, helping a parent navigate challenges or working with someone in business who wants to improve their focus, leadership or work-life balance.
“Coaching isn’t therapy, and it doesn’t involve diagnosing conditions or providing medical treatment. It’s about having someone work alongside you, without judgement, to help you find your own way forward.”
Free coaching sessions
As part of his ongoing professional training, Steve is offering a limited number of free coaching sessions to local people.
He said:
“You don’t need to know exactly what you want to achieve before getting in touch. Sometimes that first conversation is simply about working out where to start.
“I’d love to hear from anyone locally who feels they might benefit from some support.”
Looking for a room in Stone
Steve is also looking for a small, private room or office to rent within an existing Stone business.
Ideally, the space would accommodate a couple of comfortable chairs and a small table, providing a welcoming and private environment for coaching sessions.
“If any local businesses have a suitable space available, I’d really appreciate hearing from them,” Steve added.
