Stone Scout and Guide Band is hoping to reconnect with former members as it marks its 40th anniversary this year.

The band was founded in 1986, with Kath Pickering as Bandmaster, and has been a regular part of community life in Stone ever since.

Over the past four decades, the band has given young people aged over eight the chance to learn an instrument, develop discipline and work as part of a team.

It is often seen leading parades and taking part in events in Stone and the surrounding area, with generations of young people having passed through its doors.

A reunion event is being planned for July, and the band is now trying to reach as many past members as possible.

Former members, or anyone who knows someone who has been involved with the band, are being asked to get in touch with Nichola Abbott.
