Stone residents are being invited to a community open day at Stone Station next month, where they can find out about recent improvements and help shape plans for a new station mural.

North Staffordshire Community Rail Partnership is holding the drop in event on Wednesday 4 November, from 10am to 12pm.
Visitors will be able to hear about recent station improvement projects and suggest places of local interest that could be included in a new mural planned for the station.
Members of the Stone Station Adopters will also be there to talk about their work at the station.
A pop up café will be provided by Futures2gether, with free refreshments available during the morning.
Other organisations taking part include Network Rail, AEDdonate, Stone Heritage Centre, Bumblebee Conservation Trust and Art UK, with information and activities available from the different partners.
The event is open to everyone and visitors can drop in at any time between 10am and 12pm.
North Staffordshire Community Rail Partnership said the event has been funded by London Northwestern Railway.

Agree secure toilet facilities are badly needed at the station
As regards a Mural – suggest
‘Stone’s Key historical moments in time over the last century’

how about getting the LNWR to run the trains to time, because the ones to Stafford are late most of the time

Instead of a mural why not have toilets for the rail passengers which have a practical use rather than just being decorative.
