Where are you heading for your 2017 summer holiday?
Giselle Ayoub is a 17 year old sixth form student from Stone who’s currently studying at St Joseph’s College. While others may be enjoying beach holidays in 2017 Giselle will be travelling to India to take part in Lasallian Developing World Projects.
Spending 5 weeks of her summer holiday, Giselle will be assisting with projects that help with the building of houses and school buildings, both of which are vital for the future development and education of the communities that they’re in.
Giselle needs to raise £1600 to cover travel, the accommodation and the contribution towards the essential building materials and Giselle is aiming to raise this money by March 2017. Giselle is looking for sponsorship from companies and organisations and will be organising other fund raising events.
If you’re able to offer any form of sponsorship, fund raising events, or donations (large or small) Giselle would really appreciate it.
It has been estimated that over 1700 pupils in the third world have received an education which they would not otherwise have received, thanks to the Lasallian Developing World Projects during its first decade of work.
