Residents who regularly use the Newcastle Road, Newcastle Street and Crown Street junction will be relieved to see the area included, with the road surface having been a regular source of complaints from drivers.

The one.network website has more details on the roads impacted and the official diversion routes for the works.

Drivers are being advised to allow extra time when travelling through Stone town centre while the programme is under way.

Any consideration being shown for those reliant on local buses? Some bus users have mobility issues ……. please say diversions will be better organised, and advertised, than the chaos after the last town road closure
