A special Stone Town Council General Purpose meeting has been called for next Tuesday, 11th August, to discuss recent Covid-19 outbreak within the town.
Due to governance issues, there’s insufficient time to discuss the issue at tonights larger virtual town council meeting so a dedicated meeting has been called.
In the current climate, Stone Town Council are conducting their meetings virtually and members of the public are welcome to observe and make representations to the committee in accordance with the Council’s scheme of public participation. Details of this scheme are displayed in the Council’s notice boards and website.

Can it be possible for you to publish each area, whether it be a village or town that the positive tests have been connected to the Crown & Anchor. This would be valuable information for all residents that live in Staffordshire, as it is a wide spread out area. I live in one of the villages and have family in different areas of Staffordshire and work close to the Stone area.
Why has it taken over a week for the results to start being published. Why did the police not do the right thing and take action at the time when they were called out to the pub, as it haas become clear that there was a serious breach in the government procedures that should have been done by the landlord. Why were the doormen letting more and more people through the door knowing full well that there was not rom for social distancing to be adhered to. Stone is being ruined by the actions of stupidity by all that were in the Crown & Anchor that weekend. People’s jobs are now on the line. Shame on all involved for putting their families and innocent people of Staffordshire in danger.
