A day of celebration took place at Stone’s High Street Specsavers on Saturday, 28th May, to mark its third anniversary.
Having been open for less than a year when the pandemic started, it was a chance for the team at the High Street store to thank customers for all their support. The role of the community has been crucial in the last two years, and the Specsavers Stone team wanted to take the opportunity to give something back.
‘We weren’t able to mark our first or second years of business, so with restrictions now lifted, we wanted to do something special,’ says Specsavers Stone store director Koyas Ali. ‘We were thrilled to also be able to reveal our support for Staffordshire Sight Loss, a cause that we will be supporting for the rest of the year.’
Balloons greeted visitors to the store on the day, and what birthday celebration isn’t complete without cake? The store also ran a competition to win a pair of designer glasses worth up to £129. The winner was picked at random at the end of the day.
‘It was a fantastic day celebrating our third birthday,’ continues Koyas. ‘Thanks to generous support from our customers, we sold 90 raffle tickets, raising £45 for Staffordshire Sight Loss, which is a great way to kick off our fundraising.
‘We’re extremely grateful for the support of our customers in the three years since we opened. In that time, we’ve carried out more than 16,000 eye tests and are extremely proud to have looked after the eyes and ears of the local community. It’s been a fantastic start to our life in Stone, and we’re looking forward to many more to come.’
