Pupils and staff at Walton Priory Middle School in Stone are taking on a 100 miles in May challenge again this year to raise money for good causes in Staffordshire.

The school is now in its fourth year of the fundraiser, which sees children and teachers complete 100 miles across the month of May using their own effort. That could include running, swimming, cycling, kayaking or roller blading.
Money raised this year will go towards North Staffordshire children’s departments at UHNM, as well as improvement works at Walton Priory Middle School, where funding is being put towards bathroom facilities.
Organisers say more than 100 children and more than a dozen teachers have signed up to take part.
Last year’s challenge raised £7,238, with funds going towards North Staffordshire children’s departments and Walton Priory’s forest school project.
This year’s fundraising target is £3,000. At the time of submission, the appeal had raised £510.
Supporters can donate through the school’s JustGiving crowdfunding page.
