Stone residents are being advised to check their bin calendars, so they know when their waste will be collected over the festive period.
Planning around the additional bank holidays there will be revised collection dates for green, blue and brown bins in the borough from 21st December 2019 until 4th January 2020.
If you haven’t got your bin collection calendar then you can check the rescheduled dates on the Stafford Borough Council website – www.staffordbc.gov.uk/collectiondays
Head of Operations at the council, Robert Simpson, also encouraged householders to check out the website for tips on recycling over Christmas – such as places to compost Christmas Trees and getting rid of excess cardboard.
Homes across the borough currently recycle more than 52% of all the waste collected from the doorsteps and it should be noted that bins should be placed out, ready for collection, by 7am on the revised collection days.
