The winners of the annual Stone Town Mayor’s Schools “Design a Christmas Card” competition have been announced after hundreds of excellent designs were submitted.
Stone schools were invited by the Mayor to produce a Christmas Scene and the winners were
presented with their own personally designed Christmas card printed by Panda Press.
The Mayor, Town Councillor Mark Green said “It was a very difficult decision choosing the first three places as the quality of the drawings submitted was so very high.”

The winning design was by Jemima Dawson aged 12 and a pupil at Christchurch Academy, second was Poppy Harper aged 10 of Christchurch Academy, and Pirehill’s First School pupil Billy Jones aged 8 was awarded third place.

The children were given vouchers and a bag full of their own personally designed Christmas cards to give to friends, family and of course one for their teacher.
