Stone Food & Drink Festival is celebrating the return to Westbridge Park with the re-signing of Stone-based logistics firm Drac Group as the event’s main sponsor.
Drac Group, which started in 2009 with three staff working from an office in Stone High Street, is now based out of a 32,000 sq ft warehouse on Stone Business Park and operates globally through its two companies – Drac Logistics and Caledonian Logistics – from 6 warehouses located in strategic points around Scotland and England.
Drac Groups’ heart, however, remains very much in Stone – and this is behind Drac Group CEO Alex Hayes’ decision to support the festival for a second year. He says:
“We’ve enjoyed the Stone Food & Drink Festival as visitors for many years and had a great time at least years’ event, despite the weather not quite being on our side. The return of the festival to the heart of Stone in 2024 is fantastic news for the event and for the town, and we are excited to be able to play a part in this homecoming.”
The festival, which attracts thousands of visitors to Stone each year, will take place on 5th, 6th & 7th July on the town’s Westbridge Park just a short stroll from the High Street. With a packed programme of events planned both on Westbridge Park over the three days and in the town centre throughout festival week, the goal of the event remains to help bring visitors – and their revenue – into Stone for the benefit of local businesses. Chairman of the non-for-profit event, Richard Stevens, says:

As a not-for-profit CIC, we rely heavily on the support of local businesses to help cover the significant costs associated with running the event.
