Stone’s Rooftop Studios is set to host a very special charity Christmas party day on Sunday 7th December with funds being raised for local charity the Donna Louise Trust.
Youngsters aged 18 months – 7 years will enjoy sessions offering a flavour for the all-singing, all-dancing performing arts tuition on offer at the studio and meet some of their favourite characters from Frozen, Toy Story and Angelina Ballerina.
Studio Director at Rooftop Studios, Laura Keeling, said: “We hosted a similar event last year in support of one of our pupils who had recently been diagnosed with leukaemia. It proved very popular and raised over £300 for Birmingham Children’s Hospital, so we have decided to run the event again in 2014; this time raising funds for the Donna Louise Trust. This is a fantastic local cause that does so much to support youngsters with life-limiting conditions and their families, and we hope to raise a decent sum to support its incredible work.
“Children who come along to the party sessions will enjoy a mini-lesson covering dance, drama and singing and will then have the chance to meet characters including everyone’s favourite ballet mouse, Angelina Ballerina, the princesses from Frozen and Woody from Toy Story, so it’s sure to be a really magical experience to start their festive season.”
To help raise funds for the Donna Louise Trust, once they have enjoyed their party session, children and their parents will be invited to get their faces painted, try their luck on the tombola and buy some delicious treats from the cake stand. There will also be the chance for little ones to have their photo taken with their favourite character, again with a donation going straight toward the fundraising effort.
The party day will take place on Sunday 7th December and will be split into age-specific sessions:
- 18 months to four years, 10am – 11am
- Five to seven-year-olds from 12pm – 1pm
