Wetherspoon’s Poste of Stone sign catches fire

Firefighters were called to Wetherspoon’s Poste of Stone pub on Wednesday after one of the pub’s illuminated signs caught fire.

Two fire engines were sent to the Poste of Stone pub by Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service at 5pm and, after the electrics had been isolated, used a hose-reel jet to put out the fire. A safety cordon was also put up to protect members of the public. Firefighters left the scene at 5.35pm.

  • I went past this on Wednesday night and wondered what had happened.  When I went past the following day I could see the pub was open so was perplexed where the fire had been!?!
