Local songwriter Adrian Summersell is giving up his free time to provide FREE informal autism awareness talks each Saturday morning at Bear in Stone.

Adrian’s sessions are suitable for both autistic and non-autistic people who would like to learn more about autism and its impacts personally and to society.

Each Saturday morning from 11:00am until 12:00pm Adrian’s classes aim to raise more social understanding of this ever-complex condition.

Adrian explains:

“Autism is socially misunderstood and I intend to correct this by teaching about this and educating people to be more tolerant within an I inclusive multicultural society.

I have learned from watching RM’s speech at the United Nations that we as a society need to respect and love ourselves for who we are as individuals, within society, so that we can, therefore, love and respect others.

If you want to learn more about autism or your life is already impacted by autism then I hope my informal sessions will be an accessible way to discuss the condition.”

We’ve previously featured Adrian on A Little Bit of Stone when he wrote a single called It’s Alright.

Adrian is currently working on an album and has written and composed 10 songs so far!
