Stone’s Christmas lights will be switched on this year on Thursday 17th November.
Town mayor Cllr June Price will perform the important duty after an evening of music and entertainment in the High Street which starts at 5.30pm. The lights will be switched on at about 7pm.
Signal Radio will compere the event, with performances by local band Phoenix, school choirs and Stone Town Band. A funfair will also be in full swing and many of the town centre shops will be opening late.
