Relax, remember and enjoy live music at Stonefield Park with the Florence Brass Band

A free afternoon of live music, tea and community spirit is returning to Stone this August as the Florence Brass Band heads to Stonefield Park.

The event, organised by Stone Town Council, takes place on Sunday 17th August 2025 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and promises a laid-back way to spend a summer’s afternoon. The concert will also include a short commemoration for Burma Star and VJ Day at around 3:00pm.

Bring your chairs and settle in

Entry is completely free and there’s no need to book – but those in the know will be arriving early with deck chairs or picnic blankets to claim their favourite spot. Free afternoon tea will also be served on site, offering a welcome treat to accompany the live performance.

Celebrating community and commemoration

As well as celebrating live music and local hospitality, the event includes a reflective pause to remember those who served during the Second World War. The short ceremony at 3:00pm will mark both VJ Day and those awarded the Burma Star, offering a moment of respect amidst the music.
