FoodCoop confirms opening date for new Lichfield Road store in Stone

FoodCoop has confirmed that its new store on Lichfield Road in Stone will open at 7am on Thursday 29 October.

The date finalises the timetable first reported by A Little Bit of Stone in September, when the retailer confirmed that the long awaited store was scheduled to open at the end of October, but an exact date had not yet been announced.

FoodCoop is also planning a Golden Ticket giveaway as part of its opening day.

From 9am, the first 50 customers to join the Golden Ticket queue will receive a ticket, with prizes including store vouchers worth up to £100, luxury hampers and a £100 TravelCoop voucher.

The retailer says there will also be in store sampling during the day, including pastries, wine, mince pies and crisps.

You can find the new FoodCoop store on Lichfield Road, Stone, ST15 8QU – between the Three Crowns Pub and Watson’s Scrap Yard.

FoodCoop previously told A Little Bit of Stone that the shop would include food to go, an in store bakery, customer toilets with baby changing facilities and a bike repair station.

The opening follows a lengthy wait for the store, which was targeting a summer 2026 launch before the timetable moved to the end of October.
