Countdown to Stone’s Diamond weekend!

It was fun in the sun at the royal wedding street party last year!

Stone is gearing up for a big Diamond Jubilee weekend in June with some very special events around the town.

Stone’s street party, organised by the town council, takes place on Sunday 3rd June in the High Street between 2pm and 7pm. There will be live music, market stalls, children’s entertainers, face painting, Punch and Judy, food stalls and lots more. It’s going to be another amazing day in the town!

On Monday 4th June there will be fireworks to music on Crown Meadow at 10pm – there is no charge for this event. A Jubilee Beacon will also be lit at St Michael’s Church at about 10.15pm.

A special Diamond Jubilee page will be put together on the site very soon – if you’re organising anything for the Diamond Jubilee in Stone then we want to hear about it! Whether it’s something at your pub or restaurant, if your business is marking the occasion in some way, if you’re from a school or community group – let us know and we’ll let everyone else know! Just send an email to jubilee@alittlebitofstone.com

Here’s to a fantastic Diamond Jubilee weekend in Stone!
