Drivers using the A34 through Stone are being advised to allow extra time on Saturday morning as a large abnormal load is expected to travel north from Stafford.

Staffordshire Road Crime Team
The load has been stopped this week on the A34 near Redhill roundabout after mechanical issues, but Staffordshire Road Crime Team says it is now fixed and, all being well, will move on from 9am on Saturday 4 July.
The route will take it north from Stafford along the A34 towards Stone, before continuing towards Newcastle, Talke and into Cheshire.
The movement is expected to be slow, and drivers using the A34 through Stone and the wider route should expect possible delays while the load passes.
Anyone travelling in the area on Saturday morning may want to allow extra time or use an alternative route where suitable.
