Community clean up

Despite the heavy rain and sleet, a team from Stone Costa and a volunteer from the Canal and River Trust spent time today on a litter pick along the canal in Stone. It was a fantastic effort and they managed to fill two bags with rubbish!

The initiative was part of the National Litter Pick weekend and as a result of seeing the team out collecting several people have pledged to join in when the event is repeated next year.

Well done to all involved who gave up their time to make our town cleaner.

    Dear sir/maddam

Im doing the enviromental and community badge with aston and little stoke scout group and was wondering if someone could give me some information on if stone is having problems with maybe recycling/litter issues or one of the requirements is house building in the area and local land use which living in stone myself have seen alot of. Hopefully I mght be able to get the scouts to understand how important it is to put litter in the bin and recycle. Thank you for your help.

    kind regards
