Electric blanket safety tests

Age Concern in Stone is offering a drop-off and collection service for electric blankets for people in the town who can’t make Staffordshire Fire & Rescue Service’s test days in October.

You can go along and get your electric blanket tested free of charge at Rising Brook fire station on Wednesday 27th October and at Stafford fire station on Thursday 28th, between 9.30am and noon and 2pm to 4pm.

For those who can’t make those events, however, Age Concern in Stone is offering a drop-off service at their offices at Stone Town Council in Station Road.

Simply drop off your electric blanket until Wednesday 20th October (between 9.30am and noon Monday to Friday) and then collect again – if it’s passed the test – on Friday 29th. Everyone over 60 will get a free replacement if their blanket fails the safety test.
