Families looking for free activities during the school holidays can take part in a programme of crafts, creative workshops and interactive play at the V&A Wedgwood Collection in nearby Barlaston.

The free summer programme includes regular Craft Club sessions, specialist Majolica Makes workshops for older children and a permanent interactive Play Space, giving families plenty of reasons to visit throughout the holidays.
Craft Club
Craft Club takes place every Tuesday and Thursday during the school holidays, with a different hands on activity each week inspired by objects from the V&A Wedgwood Collection.
Children can create:
- Week 1, Paper Jasperware Medallions
- Week 2, Fairyland Lustre Wings
- Week 3, Ravilious’ Alphabet Pattern
- Week 4, Parade Puppets
- Week 5, Paper Factories
- Week 6, Etruscan Vases

Majolica Makes
Children aged seven to 13 can also take part in Majolica Makes, a series of free workshops exploring the colourful Victorian pottery style through the galleries, archive and craft spaces.

The workshops take place on Wednesday 29 July, Wednesday 12 August and Wednesday 26 August, from 1pm to 3pm. Booking is required. https://www.worldofwedgwood.com/content/majolica-makes
Interactive Play Space
Families can also visit the Play Space, which is open every day from 10am until 5pm.
The interactive area includes costumes, games and activities inspired by Wedgwood’s famous patterns and is available on a drop in basis throughout the holidays.
