Fire at empty Robin Hood pub

Furniture and rubbish that’s been dumped at the back of the Robin Hood pub was set on fire on Friday night.

Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to the pub in Church Street at around 10pm on Friday 19th October and were at the scene until 11.30pm. After putting out the fire they forced entry into the empty pub to check for any internal damage and also isolated the electricity supply as a precaution. There was some smoke damage inside the pub.

The property owner arrived on the scene during the incident and secured the property. Let’s hope they now clear the rubbish.

Call Staffordshire Police on 101 with any information about the fire.
