The organisers of the Stone Food and Drink Festival are making sure that a sister festival in Uttoxeter in June is a huge success.

The Uttoxeter Food & Drink Festival will take place at Uttoxeter Racecourse on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th June.

Fifty-five exhibitors having already confirmed their attendance, representing everything from beers and wines through to cheeses, meat, chocolates and everything in between. Among the exhibitors are Stone brewery Lymestone, Eccleshall’s Bertelin Cheese Company and Orchard Pigs pies from Wrexham, whose founder Rob Didier trained under Raymond Blanc.

In addition to the opportunity to browse, sample and purchase food from artisan producers, visitors will get the chance to pick up tips and recipes during the live cookery demonstrations from top local chefs.

Real ale fans are in for a treat with the on-site beer hall offering a host of local brews, whilst families will have their own area with face-painting, play area, inflatables, fairground rides and pony rides to keep the kids entertained.

Dan Whitehead, senior events executive at Uttoxeter Racecourse, said: “It’s been great working with the team from the Stone Food and Drink Festival on this event, whose experience has been invaluable – we just can’t wait for the big weekend now! The response has been beyond what we could have hoped for – we’ve got some brilliant stalls and demonstrations lined up.”

Those interested in getting involved in the festival from a demonstration or exhibition perspective should call Richard Stevens on 01785 818289.

Public tickets for the two-day festival, priced £10 for a family ticket and £6 for an adult ticket (single day admission) are available online at www.uttoxeter-racecourse.co.uk, with day tickets also available on the gate.
