A 38 year old man from Stone has been arrested following a collision on the A34 near Cherryfields on Monday 31 August.
Police said one vehicle was involved in a collision with a wall. A passing ambulance stopped at the scene, although no injuries were reported.
A Staffordshire Police spokeswoman said
“One vehicle was involved in a collision with a wall. A passing ambulance attended the scene, though no injuries were reported.
“The driver of the car, a man, made off from the vehicle on foot. We assisted in recovering the white Seat Leon from the scene.”
Police later arrested a 38 year old man from Stone on suspicion of failing to provide a specimen for analysis as a vehicle driver.
The force said he remained in police custody while enquiries continued.
