Police charge and name men arrested in Stone stop and search

Police handcuffStaffordshire Police have charged two of the three men arrested early yesterday morning when they stoped a white van in Stone

The two men have been charged after the white van they were driving was stopped by Staffordshire Police officers in Stone during the early hours of the 21st November after it was seen acting suspiciously in the area.

Daniel Jason McCann, 29, of Queens Drive, Hixon, and Daniel Eric Johnson, 30, of Brookhouse Drive, Barlaston, have been charged with theft from a motor vehicle and going equipped for theft.

Both men were bailed to appear before Cannock Magistrates’ Court at 9.30am on 5 December.

A third man, aged 19 from Stafford, has been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
