Police urge drivers to keep noise down after early morning complaints on Udall Grange

Staffordshire Police have asked drivers to be considerate of residents in the Udall Grange area of Stone following reports of loud vehicle exhausts during the early hours of the morning.

In a message shared through Staffordshire Smart Alert on Monday 26 October, officers said concerns had been reported about vehicle noise, particularly before 7am.

Police reminded motorists that excessive revving, harsh acceleration and modified or excessively noisy exhaust systems can disturb people trying to sleep and may be considered antisocial behaviour.

Drivers have been asked to keep vehicle noise to a minimum, especially during unsociable hours.

Residents who continue to experience problems, or witness similar behaviour, are encouraged to report incidents through Staffordshire Police’s online reporting service or by calling 101.
