Meet the  Hidden Creatures at Stone Library

Ever wondered what happens when the library lights go off? Well, this summer, creatures have escaped from books and are hiding in the nooks and crannies of our very own Stone Library! Here’s your chance to play detective in a delightful, enchanting setting. Dust off your magnifying glasses and get ready to find them all before they disappear back into their tales.

Draw on your inspiration for a Hidden Creatures activity

Following on from the creature search, the Summer Reading Challenge is back, and it’s got a fun twist. The library has partnered with the fantastic Staffordshire Illustrator Kate Slater to let children step into the magical world of book illustration. Youngsters can engage in creative activities and have a whale of a time on Wednesday, 9th August at 11:00am. The best part? It’s free! Just drop by the Stone Library and let your children unleash their creativity.

Smash the ever-popular Summer Reading Challenge

It’s not just about fun and games, Stone Library also aims to foster a love for reading among our little ones. This summer, they have the chance to participate in the Summer Reading Challenge. It’s as simple as this:

– Visit the library to sign up and pick up your starter pack along with the first set of stickers and three books.
– Return your books on your second visit, get more stickers, and borrow three more books.
– On your final visit, return your books, complete the challenge, and receive your last set of stickers, a certificate, a free book, and a medal!
