Stone Physio celebrates their 20 year anniversary

Stone PhysioFebruary 2023 marks the 20th anniversary of Newcastle Street based Stone Physio, founder Helen Tinsley tells A Little Bit of Stone about reaching this incredible milestone.

Helen, firstly congratulations on 20 years of Stone Physio! It’s an impressive milestone for a small business. Can you tell us about the journey of Stone Physio so far?

“Thank you! Yes, it’s been quite a journey. I founded Stone Physio 20 years ago, in February 2003, after having 15 years of experience in the NHS, overseas in Canada, and in private practice. The clinic was based in Globe Court for the first 3 years and then moved to its current location on Newcastle Street in 2006. Despite all the challenges small businesses face, and even a pandemic, we are busier than ever, with over 60,000 treatments performed to date.”

Over the 20 years, I assume that you’ve faced a number of challenges, especially in recent years with the covid pandemic.

“Of course, starting and running a small business never comes easy. But we have enjoyed the challenges and have had the privilege of meeting, treating, and helping many wonderful people in Stone and the surrounding area. The pandemic was certainly a challenge, but we adapted our services to ensure the safety of our clients and team.”

That’s amazing; adapting to a pandemic is no small feat, so it’s a real testament to you and the team that you did. Can you tell us more about your team and their role in the success of Stone Physio?

“Absolutely, our team is the heart of Stone Physio. Our physiotherapists Jason and Aaron have incredible knowledge and experience that they put into the care of our clients. Our front of house team Wendy, Tina, and Karen have provided invaluable support and we couldn’t have made it to 20 years without the team.”

Can you tell us about the celebration of this 20-year milestone and the special people you wanted to include in it?

“Yes, we reached out to well-known Stone artist Emma Joustra to create an image to celebrate our 20 years and wanted to include some of our long-term clients who have been an integral part of Stone Physio. They are truly special people, and we are grateful for their continued support.”

That’s a lovely touch. What are your plans for the future of Stone Physio Clinic?

“Our plan is to continue providing a high-quality service to our local community. Our motto is “Your aches & pains are our business”, and we are committed to helping our clients with their physical health for many more years to come!”

A Little Bit of Stone wishes Stone Physio all the best on reaching this amazing milestone, here’s to many more years of treatments!
