Stone Revellers will bring Ray Cooney’s farce Out of Order to Crown Wharf Theatre next month.

The local theatre company will stage the comedy from Wednesday 10 June to Saturday 13 June 2026, with performances starting at 7.30pm each evening.
Written by Ray Cooney, who is often described as the “Master of Farce”, the Olivier Award-winning play follows a chaotic evening in a Westminster hotel.
The story centres on Tory Junior Minister Richard Willey, who is attempting to meet one of the Opposition’s secretaries. His plans quickly unravel when the pair discover a body trapped in a sash window.
With help from his well-meaning but hapless private secretary George, the situation becomes increasingly difficult as hotel staff, spouses and a disgruntled nurse add to the confusion.
The production is being staged by Stone Revellers, one of the area’s longest-established theatre companies, with a cast and crew drawn from the local community.
Rob Stanway, Chairman of Stone Revellers, said
“We’re really excited to bring this show to Crown Wharf. It’s a genuinely laugh-out-loud comedy and a brilliant night out for audiences.
“We’ve got a fantastic team working on this production and it’s already shaping up to be something special.”
Out of Order runs at Crown Wharf Theatre in Stone from Wednesday 10 June to Saturday 13 June 2026.
Tickets are priced at £16 for adults and £14 for concessions, and are available through the Crown Wharf Theatre website at www.crownwharftheatre.org.uk.
