Local residents are invited to take part in a one-off Spring Clean on Sunday, 23rd March, to help tidy up the High Street and keep it welcoming for both residents and visitors.
This is a volunteer-led initiative, supported by Stone Traders Group and the Stone Food & Drink Festival is a great opportunity for the community to come together.
A focused effort on the High Street and Surrounding Areas
While there are fantastic pockets of volunteers looking after residential estates across the town, this event is specifically aimed at tackling the High Street and surrounding areas. Volunteers are invited to meet in the Market Square on Sunday 23rd March, at 8:30 am, where they’ll receive equipment and instructions before setting out to clean key areas of the town.
Whether it’s picking up litter, sweeping pathways or clearing debris, every bit of effort will make a difference in presenting Stone at its best.
Free refreshments for volunteers
To show appreciation for those giving up their time, free tea and coffee will be provided by Bod for all volunteers. It is a small thank-you for the big impact this community effort will have.
How you can get involved
- Meet at Market Square, Stone, at 8:30 am on Sunday 23rd March
- Litter-picking equipment will be provided
- Wear gloves and comfortable clothing suitable for the weather
- Bring family and friends to make it a fun, social morning
Let’s work together to keep our High Street clean and inviting. If you can spare an hour or two, your help will be greatly appreciated.

This is a great initiative! I’ve been a little slow getting sorted for volunteering but have a small gaggle of friends who would like to help, maybe the stonefield area and station road. Is there a contact for organisers so we can pledge our assistance? Was thinking we could do early Thursday evening if the weather holds ok ♥️♥️
