Win a spa day for two at Moddershall Oaks

Kind people in Stone are being given the chance to win a spa day for two at Moddershall Oaks.

The prize is being offered by Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service to mark National Kindness Day, which fell on 13th November. People can nominate themselves or others for the prize by showing how their actions have had a positive effect on an older person.

Spokeswoman Julie Tanner said: “It could be a random act of kindness, such as helping an elderly person with their shopping off the bus or it could be something regular such as weekly visits or keeping their garden tidy. Whatever it is we want to know what people do so we can share and encourage more people to do the same!

“One great and valuable act of kindness is making sure your elderly relatives and neighbours are safe from fire by arranging a free Home Fire Risk Check for them. Not only will you be doing your bit to help you will also have peace of mind that they are safe from fire in their home.”

To be in with a chance of winning, entrants need to ‘like’ Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service’s new Facebook page and post their kindness competition nomination on the wall by January 28, 2011.
