Families in Stone who are considering extra school support for September are being encouraged to book a free trial before the current academic year ends in July.
Conexus Tuition Stafford and Stone runs small group sessions at Walton Community Centre ST15 0EQ, offering support in English, Maths and Science for pupils from Year 2 through to GCSE.
The Stone sessions take place on Wednesdays from 4pm to 6pm and are aligned with the school year, giving families the chance to try tuition before the summer break rather than waiting until September.
For younger pupils, the focus is on English and Maths. Older pupils can also access Science support as well as English and Maths. Sessions are shaped around core skills, confidence and exam preparation where relevant.
Pupils are taught in small groups of up to six children of a similar ability. Offering focused support from a qualified teacher, while still giving pupils the chance to learn alongside others.
Conexus Tuition Stafford and Stone has been running locally for five years and has supported more than 900 pupils. It also works with schools and is currently approved for local authority alternative provision.
All tutors are fully qualified teachers, with safeguarding and DBS checks in place.
Alongside the Stone sessions at Walton Community Centre, Conexus also runs two sessions in Stafford on Mondays and Saturdays.
