Volunteers running Aston-by-Stone Village Hall are looking for new groups and organisations to use the building after losing two regular hirers.

The hall, located on the A34 just outside Stone, is run by a small charity and relies on income from bookings to help cover its running costs.
Two groups that previously used the hall have recently folded, leaving gaps in the booking calendar. The committee is hoping to attract new regular users, as well as people looking for somewhere to hold one-off events.
Jennifer Woodyard, charity secretary at Aston-by-Stone Village Hall, said
“Like many village halls, we rely on volunteers to keep the building running and available for local people, groups and community activities.”
She explained that finding new hirers would help the charity meet its running costs and keep the building available for future use.
The hall can accommodate up to 100 people for a range of activities, including community groups, clubs, classes, meetings and private celebrations.
Facilities include a main hall with a stage, a smaller meeting area, a fully equipped kitchen and an outdoor courtyard with seating. The building also offers accessible facilities and on-site parking.
