All Saints’ Church Sandon is hosting another free BioBlitz event this May, giving visitors the chance to help record wildlife in the church grounds.

The drop in event takes place from 10am to 12pm on Tuesday 26 May 2026, with rangers from Staffordshire Wildlife Trust joining the session.

Visitors will be able to take part in bug hunts, bird watching, a butterfly and moth trail, tree bingo and clay creature modelling. There will also be opportunities to help identify plants and trees around the grounds.

The event is open to all and aims to record as many species as possible during the morning.

During last year’s count, a wide range of flora and fauna was identified, including a rare species of beetle.

The BioBlitz takes place at All Saints’ Church Sandon, ST18 0DB. Further details are available from www.sandonallsaints.com.
