The opening of Stone’s new Lichfield Road store has been postponed, just three days before it was due to welcome its first customers.
The Midcounties Co-operative had been running paid Facebook advertisements announcing that the Lichfield Road store would open at 7am on Thursday 29 October, with a Golden Ticket giveaway and other activities planned for opening day.
However, the retailer has now contacted A Little Bit of Stone directly to confirm that the opening will no longer take place this month.
A spokesperson told us:
“Due to circumstances outside our control, we’re unable to proceed with the planned opening at this time.
We are working to establish a revised opening date and will share further details as soon as we can.”
No further explanation has been provided for the postponement, and a revised opening date has not yet been confirmed.
