Final Joule’s visitor book to stay in Stone

The final Joule's visitors' book

The last Joule’s visitors’ book before the brewery was taken over by Bass in the early 1970s will be kept in the town after being bought by Stone Town Council at auction.

A range of Joule’s memorabilia went under the hammer at Cuttlestones’ Wolverhampton auction rooms at the end of last month.

Stone Town Council used £150 from its tourism and town promotion fund to buy the visitors’ book but lost out on other auction items, which all went to a mystery internet bidder.
