Lights, camera….action – The Stone Christmas Lights Switch On

Stone Christmas LightsThe countdown has officially begun! In just one month, Stone will be illuminated with festive cheer as the Stone Town Council Christmas lights are switched on.

Put a pin in the calendar for Thursday, 23rd November, as that’s the day that Santa will be in town to switch on Stone’s Christmas lights.

An Evening Packed with Entertainment

Entertainment will start at 5:00pm with a range of performances planned, leading up to the switch on of the lights at 7:00 pm.

For those who can’t make it in person, A Little Bit of Stone will once again aim to livestream the switch-on ceremony on Facebook, bringing the festive celebrations directly to those who can’t make it in person.

During the evening, Stone High Street will feature a number of funfair rides and stalls to complement the town’s shops and hospitality businesses.

Councillor Jill Hood, Chairman of the Council’s Tourism and Town Promotion Sub-Committee, said.

“The Switch On is an extremely popular event so please put the date in your diary and make sure you get into town early to claim a good spot!”

Wrapping Up

As Stone readies itself for the festive season, the Christmas lights switch-on promises to be an event to remember. Whether attending in person or watching the live stream from the comfort of home, it’s an occasion that embodies community spirit and festive joy.
