Panda Press lifts the lid on the print process

SPONSORED FEATURE

Panda Press

Stone’s Panda Press have produced a series of videos to explain the whole print process from start to finish.

Panda Press – which has been in Stone since 1972 – is a family business that offers the full range of bespoke printing and design services.

It has a growing client base across the country. Throughout 2015 the team continued to work with Stoke City to produce printed matchday materials including team sheets, menus, promotional flyers and parking passes for the Britannia Stadium. In September last year, they built on the sporting theme by announcing a deal with Bristol Sport, which oversees commercial and merchandising operations for Championship club Bristol City, as well as the city’s Rugby Union team.

In 2014, a new state-of-the-art printing press arrived at Panda Press. Delivery of the 10-tonne machine saw the ring road temporarily closed as it was squeezed through a window – the only way in!

In the videos, viewers can take a behind-the-scenes look at how artwork and proofs are put together, along with a peek at how printing plates, paper and inks are prepared. They can also watch Panda’s state-of-the-art press in action as it takes on a large print run.
