St. George’s Day Battle and Craft Market this Saturday

Stone’s High Street with be a mixture of stalls and knights as Stone Town Council host a St. George’s Day celebration and Craft Market on Saturday.

You can find full details HERE, but to summarise the weekend:

Schedule of Events:

  • 9:00 AM: Craft and Collectable Market at the top of the High Street (See below for stall holders)
  • 12:20 PM: Children can gather at the back of the Stone Town Council building on Station Road if they want to join the parade.
  • 12:30 PM: Parade starts, led by Saint George, from the top of the High Street down to the Market Square.

🛡️ Main Events in Market Square:

  • Post-Parade: Dramatic battle between Saint George and the Black Knights.
  • Meet & Greet: Opportunity to explore medieval weapons and talk with the knights.
  • Fancy Dress Competition: Children’s medieval-themed (knights, damsels, dragons) with a £25 gift voucher prize.
