It’s Stone Festival Carnival Day on Saturday, one of the highlights of the year in the town.

As usual, there is so much going on, with an afternoon of entertainment and activities at Westbridge Park from 12.30pm, including lots of great acts in the main parade, including the Knights in Battle reenactment group. Entry is £2 for adults, £1 for children and £5 for a family ticket.

A real treat this year will be the Lymestone Brewery wife carrying contest at 3.30pm! More on that HERE

And there’s the cake making / decorating competition too. There’s still time to enter – more information HERE

The festival parade – featuring floats from schools, charities and businesses from across the town – will leave ABB at 1.30pm and travel down Oulton Road and around the ring road to Westbridge Park, where it should arrive at about 2pm.

Parking is FREE on all borough council car parks on Saturday.
