Man charged with drug offences following police search in Stone

A Stone teenager has been charged with drug offences after police seized a phone, cannabis and cash during searches in the town.

Staffordshire Police Charged

Staffordshire Police said officers searched a car and a property in Stone on Friday 23 January as part of an investigation into suspected drug activity.

Following those searches, Osman Miller Kakay, 18, of Stone, was charged with being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and heroin.

Police confirmed that a mobile phone, cannabis and cash were recovered during the operation.

Miller Kakay appeared at North Staffordshire Justice Centre on Saturday 24 January, where he was granted bail.

He is due to appear at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on Friday 27 February.

No further details about the investigation or the circumstances of the search have been released at this stage.

As with all criminal proceedings, the charges are allegations and the case will now be considered by the courts.

  • Surely you should wait until a verdict has been given to post the persons name. It’s character defamation surely, what if he’s found not guilty and you’ve attached his name to something he might not be guilty of?
